LEADERSHIP AND ORGANISATIONAL REQUIREMENTS IN A CRISIS
– by Russ Huxtable
“If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs…”
As part of a series of papers on crisis leadership our Head of Advisory & Strategy Lead, Russ Huxtable, looks in more detail at the specific qualities required from a crisis leader and how they should impact the organisational structure required to navigate any such crisis.
A true crisis is one that threatens the very survival of an organisation, forcing leadership to step in and respond. Whilst this requires direct leadership, without the correct thinking beforehand it is almost impossible to build an appropriate response in the midst of the crisis.
